David Mensah Bio

DAVID K. MENSAH, PRINCIPAL
David Mensah is the principal at WAVE Training & Consulting LLC and offers more than 15 years of non-profit leadership experience in addition to over 16 years as a leadership trainer, executive coach and organizational development consultant working with a broad variety of non-profit and for- profit organizations. 

David began his career working as an executive director of two separate
human services organizations:  one providing housing and support for people living with HIV/AIDS and another that delivered after-school services for LGBTQ youth living in New York City. David has also worked for 10 years as a marriage and family counselor while teaching courses in both trauma counseling and leadership to graduate students at three different universities. His most recent teaching position was at Baruch University in New York City teaching leadership development to
masters and executive master’s students interested in expanding and developing their leadership capacity in the non-profit field. David has also served as the designer and facilitator of the NYC -DOE Parent Council Leadership Institute since 2015.
